Israeli strike hits area in eastern Tehran’s Narmak district, Iranian media say

A residential zone on the southern edge of Narmak’s Sixth Square in eastern Tehran was struck in an Israeli attack, according to local reports.

Images show significant damage to apartment buildings caused by the airstrike.

280 Iranian missiles fired, dozens hit open areas, IDF says

Iran has launched approximately 280 ballistic missiles at Israel since Friday, according to the Israeli military.

While most were intercepted by air defenses, the IDF said dozens were deliberately allowed through to strike open areas, avoiding damage to critical infrastructure.

Casualties and destruction have nonetheless mounted as Iranian strikes target civilian zones.

Earlier, separate reports confirmed strikes on Shiraz Electronics Industries and a Defense Ministry-linked facility in Isfahan.

The Israeli army earlier issued an urgent warning for Iranian civilians to evacuate areas near military sites.

Dutch embassy in Tehran closes to public over security concerns

The Dutch embassy in Tehran has temporarily closed its doors to the public due to escalating security risks following Israeli airstrikes on Iran, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday.

Embassy staff will remain on duty to monitor developments and safeguard Dutch interests, a statement said.

The ministry has activated crisis response teams and continues to advise Dutch citizens against travel to both Iran and Israel.

The travel advisory for Iran has been in effect since October 2022, while Israel was added to the red alert list last Friday.

Harsher responses to Israel still to come, Iranian MP says

The recent actions against Israel represent only part of Iran’s response, Behnam Saeedi, secretary of Iran’s parliamentary national security committee said Sunday.

Dollar surges past 960,000 rials as Iran-Israel conflict deepens

Amid escalating military conflict between Iran and Israel, the exchange rate for the US dollar in Iran surpassed 960,000 rials on Sunday morning.

In response to the turmoil, Iran’s Supreme Stock Council announced a three-day closure of the national stock exchange.

The Central Bank also suspended Tether (USDT) trading for a second consecutive day.
