280 Iranian missiles fired, dozens hit open areas, IDF says

Jun 15, 2025, 10:00 GMT+1

Iran has launched approximately 280 ballistic missiles at Israel since Friday, according to the Israeli military.

While most were intercepted by air defenses, the IDF said dozens were deliberately allowed through to strike open areas, avoiding damage to critical infrastructure.

Casualties and destruction have nonetheless mounted as Iranian strikes target civilian zones.
